1. What is CARNEVIL?
CARNEVIL is a first class Haunted Attraction comprised of approximately 15,000 square feet of themed rooms, corridors, and a labyrinth of passageways designed to maximize one’s fears.
3. What happens if it rains?
Carnevil includes indoor and outdoor elements, and customers are advised to wear the appropriate clothing. Carnevil is a rain or shine event as most attractions with the exception of the carnival rides are protected from the elements. Waiting to enter attractions may require outdoor queuing.
3. Is it a ride?
No, the journey through CARNEVIL is on foot. Although we will have carnival rides on the premises during the entire month of October that will be sold separately.
4. What are the hours of operation?
Thursday & Sunday: 7:00 – 10:00 PM
Typically little to no wait on Thursdays
Friday & Saturday: 7:00 – 11:00 PM

5. What time does the line start forming?
ENTRANCE LINES often begin forming 30 minutes before our scheduled opening time; however they are often earlier on Fridays and Saturdays in October. BUY YOUR TICKETS IN ADVANCE ONLINE.
6. How long is the wait in line?

7. Do you have restrooms available?
Yes, both male and female restrooms are available on-site.
8. Can I drop off my teenager?
It is safe to drop off your teenager at the front entrance. If you feel that your child can follow the rules, we have created a very organized and safe environment.
9. Where is CARNEVIL located?
It is located at the Sears Centre Arena: 5333 Prairie Stone Parkway, Hoffman Estates IL 60192
10. Do you charge for parking?
Parking is free. This is subject to change on select dates.

1. Do you accept credit cards?
Yes, we accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express.
2. Once I’ve used my ticket can I go through the same attraction again with the same ticket?
No, your ticket grants you a one-time admission to the attraction. We do not offer refunds or discounts for lost tickets.
3. Do you offer discounts?
We offer discounts through vouchers that must be presented at the time of purchase. Look out for our free ticket vouchers at your neighborhood store. *Valid for select evenings only
4. When can I use a voucher?
Vouchers may only be used at the time of purchase on the select nights found on the voucher.
5. Where can I find coupons?
They can be found in a variety of local establishments, including Halloween stores, gas stations and many more.
6. Do you offer group rates?
Yes, for groups of 20 or more. Group ticket sales must be arranged in advance and CANNOT be purchased at the door. Please call (847) 649-2368 and ask for Craig. Note: Groups will be divided into 4-6 people at a time when entering any of the haunted attractions.
7. Do you offer discounted rates for children?
Sorry, we do not offer special prices for children. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
8. How do I avoid waiting in line?
VIP tickets, which offer a much shorter wait time, may be purchased for $60.
9. Can I Buy tickets in advance?
10. I just bought my ticket online, do I still have to wait in line when I get to the Haunted House?
You will have to wait in line for the haunted house. Purchasing in advance saves you from having to wait in a potentially long ticket line.
11. Can I win free tickets?
Occasionally, radio stations or sponsors may have free ticket giveaways. Be sure to listen to KISS FM, WGCI FM, and El Patron for a chance to win!
1. Do you have strobe lights, loud noises or fog?
Yes, we do have strobe lights, very loud noises and fog machines. You enter at your own risk. If you feel the experience too intense there are emergency exits throughout the attraction. No refunds will be given.
2. Can we touch the actors and/or props?
Contact with our actors is prohibited. You will be asked to leave without a refund if you are caught touching our actors or props.
3. Are there live animals or insects inside?
There will be no live animals or insects in the haunted house.
4. Can I wear sandals or flip flops?
Enter at your own risk. We have uneven floors in some areas and the scares are very intense and sandals or flip flops are NOT recommended. We are not responsible for lost sandals, flip flops or other personal items.
5. If I get too scared to make it through the attractions, can I get a refund?
No, you paid us to scare you. . If you get scared in the line or in the first few rooms and want to leave, we’ve done what you paid us to do very quickly. Be happy with prompt service!
6. Is smoking allowed?
Smoking is allowed outside in designated areas, but it is not allowed inside.
7. Do you serve alcoholic beverages?
Yes, there will be alcoholic beverages available for purchase. Please drink responsibly.
8. Can we take pictures or video?
NO photography or video of any sort is allowed after you enter the attraction. In addition, all cell phones must remain in the off position once you enter the attraction. Guests will be removed if disturbing others’ experience with cell phone lights. We are not responsible for lost cell phones.
9. Are your attractions open if it rains?
Yes! The ticketing line to enter the attractions is inside (outside select dates only). Please be prepared in case of bad weather.
10. Is it a maze?
The attractions themselves are not mazes, but some of the attractions have mazes inside them and it’s possible that you can get very confused.
11. Can I go through the attractions if I’m pregnant?
The houses are dark with uneven floors. Our Haunted Attractions are NOT RECOMMENDED for pregnant women; people with high blood pressure, back, neck, health, hearing or heart ailments: or phobias, including SNAKES. NO PACEMAKERS!
12. Are we allowed to wear Halloween costumes?
No. For safety reasons, guests are not permitted to wear costumes or masks. *Subject to change on Oct 31st.
13. How long does it take to go through the haunted houses?
Each haunted attraction takes a different amount of time to complete. Times vary with each house.
14. Are the actors allowed to touch you?
ENTER AT YOUR OWN RISK! You may be touched and it’s possible you may brush up against their costumes, props, or some of the sets and decor. You may also be grabbed by a member of your own group or even a complete stranger who is too terrified to continue without your help.
15. Can I leave CarnEvil if I feel it is too scary?
Yes, there are emergency exits that you can use with the direction of a cast member- however, there will be no refund.
16. Can we be thrown out of denied entry for any reason?
Yes, for the safety of all of our guests we do not allow foul language, pushing, vulgar behavior, weapons of any kind, drugs or alcohol, etc. If our security team determines you are under the influence of and drugs or alcohol you may also be denied entry or removed from the premises. We do not offer refunds if you are thrown out or denied entry.
17. Are there any age restrictions?
No, this is left up to the parent’s discretion. No refunds will be provided.
18. What is the best time to arrive to avoid a long line?
We suggest arriving early and purchasing your ticket in advance. Many people complain about long lines, but everyone shows up around 9 PM. Our suggestion is for you to come early and buy your ticket when we open so you are one of the first in line. Our busiest nights are always on Fridays and Saturdays and the closer to Halloween it gets the busier we are.
19. Do you sell food and beverages?
Yes, we sell a variety of food and drinks at concession stands throughout the grounds.
20. Is there anything I can’t bring with me inside?
No pets! No weapons! No alcoholic beverages! No cameras! No smoking! No laser pointers or flashlights! No food or beverages! This includes but is not limited to: mace, firearms, knifes, and martial arts weapons. We are not responsible for lost cell phones or other personal items.
